Blogger, the service we use to publish the Gnomon, has been having some problems of late. The day after the election, we couldn't even get a support request through, let alone post our trenchant commentary.

We believe their servers were probably overloaded from all the punditization of the election results that ensued.

Update: When we finally made it back into Blogger.com, their status page reported:

One of the database servers was having performance trouble for several hours this morning starting at about 5am PST. This has slowed down the site overall and we're working to address this problem.
